You assumed that a person would only send their child to one VBS. But when I was a kid it seemed like my mother had scoped out every VBS or church summer program in town, to give herself as much free time as possible.
This year we sent our daughter to two different VBSs. Both were Lutheran and both used the same program, but one was a week-long VBS while the other ran for four Sundays. She liked both.
Next summer we'll look into sending her to a non-Lutheran VBS in addition to our own.
