I see the moon

I See the Moon by Kathi Appelt shares a story — based on a nursery rhyme — of a child who dreams of seeing the moon as she sails a boat. The child moves from feeling completely alone to learning that God accompanies her with love wherever she goes. In board-book format, I See the Moon offers pastel and gold-leaf illustrations by Debra Reid Jenkins of a little girl, a small boat, the moon, wind, sun and a dove.
Adults can also use the facial expressions and the action of waves, wind, dove and peaceful shore to talk with children about emotions. The words and art help children and adults to clearly see the joy and feel the unconditional nature of God’s love.
